Heaven, Hell and The Cross

To be with Christ in Heaven,
Inside the pearly gates.
Just to recognize my loved ones,
And behold them face to face.

Oh, if I could only see again my Saviour,
If I had but one more chance.
But alas!
I’ve turned my back upon Him,
Not once, not twice, but thrice.

To have once known Messiah's Mercy,
And felt His loving embrace.
Only to be torn from His presence,
At the judgment seat of Grace!

For this measly pot of porridge,
I've sold the pearl of great price.
Esau sold his birthright,
But I, eternal life!

Regret and condemnation,
Has now dealt its crushing blow.
All hope must be forsaken,
To embrace damnation, for my soul.

And now eternal darkness,
Into a Christ-less night.
Proceeds the once forgiven,
Backsliders wicked heart.

Behold your Saviour’s passion,
His suffering and His death.
To awaken your affections,
He endured all of this.

Behold your Saviour struggle,
To raise the wooded cross.
Beneath which He has fallen,
To keep you close unto His heart.

For you it’s not too late,
For another second chance.
To be with Christ forever,
And behold Him face to face.

Your Father’s main concern,
Is not yesterday or tomorrow.
But your spiritual condition,
In this present hour.

Oh, to be with Christ in Heaven,
Inside the pearly gates,
And embrace His Holy Mother,
Is now your choice to make.
